This is a “itinerary sharing” blog
This blog primarily functions as an “itinerary blog” rather than a “travel experience” blog. Here, you’ll find essential details rather than personal reflections on tourist attractions and activities. I provide the critical information you would typically need to gather from extensive searches, reading multiple reviews, or comparing different websites. The main goal is to streamline your trip planning process; you can either use the provided links to follow the suggested itinerary or modify it to suit your preferences. Organizing your own trip can be more cost-effective than joining a group tour. While pre-booked accommodations and public transportation may dictate your overall route, you’ll enjoy greater flexibility in allocating time to each attraction.
This is not a “budget travel” blog
Perhaps it’s best described as a “semi-budget” travel blog. To maintain a tight schedule with minimal time lost to transportation or logistical issues, sometimes you need to choose accommodations with better locations or book transportation (like flights or trains) during peak times. These choices require some sacrifices. However, I always strive to save money where possible. By comparing my final expenses to similar local group tour packages (I live in Taiwan), I typically manage to spend about 40% less.
Could a packed schedule compromise the experience?
Many would agree that with so many places to visit and limited vacation time before retirement, each destination we visit might be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. This makes travel a matter of personal choice, and not every approach suits everyone. My aim is to design itineraries that are full but not rushed, preserving the quality of the experience.
This blog primarily covers popular destinations but will occasionally include unique destinations, attractions, or activities.
Popular tourist attractions, destinations, and activities are well-known for a reason: they offer unique qualities that attract visitors from around the world annually. There’s nothing wrong with filling your itinerary with these popular sites. However, like many modern travelers, I prefer dining at less touristy spots where the food often feels more authentic.
What makes this blog different?
Many blogs might list “10 best places to visit in xxx” or “15 must-dos in ooo,” but they often fail to explain how to actually visit these sites, especially in large regions with numerous recommended spots. Poor transportation planning can lead to wasted time, particularly when time is limited. In writing this blog, I focused primarily on organizing efficient routes so that you could spend maximum time at each destination. Effective route planning means that even if you miss a site due to a delay or bad weather, you can adjust your plans for the following days without disrupting your schedule too much. I realize now that many details of my planning process haven’t been shared in the posts, but I plan to include more of these insights in the future.
